Real-Time Systems

Decision making and human reasoning cannot prescind from the concept of time.

Usually, a longer reasoning leads to better decisions, but taking a very good decision might require so much thinking time that it could have become useless due to a fast changing environment.

Then, in the process of bringing reasoning capabilities into machines, understanding how programs, operating systems and dedicated circuits can satisfy time constraints is a vital topic in Computer Science, in Artificial Intelligence, and for our lab.
